Gorton Rushcart 1986
This year's model was built for speed with a big pineapple decoration on the top. This is looking over towards Hyde Road. The Hyde Road Run involved drinking in every pub on Hyde Road between here and Central Manchester.

One year on from Image we are back again in Gorton for the rushbearing. This time the moment of truth as the cart is brought out from the back of the Suburban PH: will it stay in one piece? It did, but it was all down to years of practice by a dedicated team.

The 'Horns' are out in Gorton
The Abbots Bromley Horn Dancers performing outside the Suburban. An unusual sight to see the Horn Dancers straying outside their village in Staffordshire. Once let off the leash on the day the dancers were seen weaving their way through the market and up and down the aisles in the supermarket. The dancers were in Gorton for the annual rushcart procession.Image
