Paradise Factory, Princess Street, Manchester
Paradise Factory - at junction with Charles Street. This building was once home to Factory Records' offices. In the 1990s and early 2000s it was the brightest and hippest of the Manchester gay clubs with queues along Charles Street on a Friday and Saturday night.

Manchester: Princess Street
The road here climbs from the crossing of the River Medlock towards the bridge carrying the railway from Piccadilly station (right) towards Oxford Road station (left). The building on the extreme left is the former headquarters of Factory Records; it is now a nightclub (run by Peter Hook, bassist in Joy Division, New Order, and Peter Hook and the Light) named FAC251. Factory Records assigned catalogue numbers to a variety of projects or concepts over and above their record releases and FAC251 is the number that was assigned to their headquarters. For more about Factory Records and their founder Tony Wilson, see the images of FAC51, the Haçienda nightclub: https://www.geograph.org.uk/snippet/17257.
