Night time Cityscape
A night time view over Manchester from the Beetham Tower (Hilton Hotel Image]). The road ahead, passing between the "Jurys Inn" hotel and the back of the Bridgewater Hall, is Great Bridgewater Street. The large tower block under construction is called "Student Castle" http://www.studentcastle.co.uk/word.php?pid=7&year=2010. When completed, this 33-storey tower on Great Marlborough Street will be among the city’s tallest buildings, measuring 109 metres. To the left of that, the tower of the former Refuge Assurance building, now the Palace Hotel on Oxford Street (Image]) can be seen.

Hungry geese
Several Canada Geese (or is it Gooses) were bold enough to paddle up to the bank of the canal to see if I had any food for them. They didn't hang about for long once they found out.
