The builders of Hathersage Road and Richmond Grove created an elegant triangular junction, complete with gracefully curved terraced housing on at least two sides.

Hathersage Road and the Victoria Baths
When built, this was considered a rather superior area in which to live. The Victoria Baths on the right added a touch of splendour. After many years of steady decline, the area is being rejuvenated and the Baths are the subject of a multi-million pound renovation.

Females Entrance at Victoria Baths
Victoria Baths has three pools. Two of which were for men only "Males 1st Class"(which cost 6d to enter in 1906), "Males 2nd Class" (which cost 4d in 1906) and a 3rd pool, "Females". Each pool had its own entrance with elaborate terracotta carving to indicate which was which. The Females entrance is now used by visitors viewing the project which is open to the public each every Wednesday afternoon from 2pm during the months from April to October.
