Taken on the day of the final Manchester City match at Maine Road against Southampton. The land formerly occupied by the stadium has been redeveloped for housing. Manchester City now play at the Etihad Stadium in the east of the city.

Manchester City v Sunderland, 2002/3
Manchester City's last victory at Maine Road with a 3-0 win over Sunderland. Marc-Vivien Foé scored City's last goal at Maine Road. Foé died suddenly during the 2003 Confederations Cup just over 2 months after this match. There is a tribute plaque outside Manchester City's current stadium to where they moved at the end of this 2002/3 season.
