A night out in Manchester
This is me trying night photography with my f2.8 20mm prime lens. I am still learning the craft. Of the half dozen shots that night, this is the best. We are in Manchester, of course, looking along Bloom Street from Sackville Street.

Bloom Street Pride
The Pride flag is still strung between the buildings either side of Bloom Street despite the fact that this year's Pride Festival has been cancelled because of the coronavirus restrictions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_in_the_United_Kingdom . The road has been (temporarily?) closed to allow the bars to seat their customers in the street to comply with restrictions imposed by HM Government.

New York New York
On the corner of Bloom Street and Abingdon Street in Manchester's "Gay Village". The pub has a long tradition of being a "gay bar". Back in the days when the "Village" didn't really exist, it was a Wilson's house called simply the "New York". http://pubs-of-manchester.blogspot.co.uk/2010/11/133-new-york-new-york-bloom-street.html Image Image
