Junction Works, 40 Ducie Street, is a Grade II listed former lead works that has been converted into apartments. There is an Ordnance Survey cut benchmark on the face of the building near the ‘no entry’ sign (detail photograph Image).

Manchester: The 'Jolly Angler', Ducie Street
At the junction with Pigeon Street, (which formerly had a 'd' in the spelling). This public house is well loved among real beer aficionados in Manchester. It is also well known to be a place where the game of three-card Brag can be played - a game which was the ancestor of Poker.
