Great Ancoats Street Bridge [No 3], Ashton Canal
Rebuilt in 1989. Beyond were a pair of locks. Now only the left [north] one works, the other has been cascaded into a waterfall.

Ashton Canal: Ducie Street mooring
Walk down the side of the boat, turn right at the end of the white building, this path leads onto Ducie Street. Turn right here and in less than 100 yards you will reach a fine traditional pub, the Jolly Angler, with excellent real ale.
