The sign is the work of Andrew J Holland who tells me "I was working at Donna Hartley Designs and a colleague was looking at the winter side Image I was painting and said the lady looked pregnant so I decided to paint a spring side with the couple pushing a pram."

Ashton New Road, Clayton
The A662 towards Manchester. The lamppost carries a sign reminding drivers they are in a 30 mph zone and warning of the presence of speed cameras. Above that is a cycle sign although it isn't clear whether the cyclists are on the road or the pavement which is dangerously strewn with conkers and broken husksImage from the effects of an autumnal gust of wind on a horse chestnut tree. Behind these signs is another warning of trams crossing 100 yds ahead. On the opposite side of the road is a convenience store, a newsagents and a Chinese takeaway.
