On Ashton New Road, Manchester ? 1966
The terraced houses and shops of disappeared with modern housing on the left hand side, and the right hand side now taken up with the large sporting complex which includes the Etihad arena. This view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3465831 gives an indication of how mauch the view has changed. The bus is an Ashton-under-Lyne trolleybus, which would not normally be found here as trolleybus services along Ashton New Road were provided exclusively by Manchester Corporation. The occasion was a tour of the complete Manchester and Ashton trolleybus system organised by the Liverpool University Public Transport Society. This is one of a series of views featuring buses in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2114547&displayclass=slide
