City of Manchester Stadium - Manchester City FC
Stadium built for Commonwealth Games after its conversion to football stadium and home of Manchester City FC (see Tony Smith's submission for how it looked in 2002). The concrete for the lower tier in this picture was constructed, then covered with earth for the Commonwealth Games, then excavated again for the seats to be fitted, and the pitch laid several metres below the 2002 Games level.
