The Queen Anne: Detail above the doorway
Above the doorway of The Queen Anne Image on Ashton Old Road, Openshaw are a couple of what look like brass Chinese lion door guardians either side of the window at the bottom corners. Above that is a decorative plaque which seems to consist of a Chinese "bagua diagram" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagua It wasn't there in a 2015 photograph I've viewed elsewhere so must be a relatively new addition. Choose "more sizes" for a more detailed view.
