Someries Castle

Path round Someries Castle
Someries Castle is situated in the middle of Someries Farm, and is closely surrounded by stout metal railings, making wide shots of the ruins very difficult. This picture shows the nature of the gap round the sides, and the proximity of the farm buildings.
The castle was started in the 1440's by John, Lord Wenlock, and is one of the earliest brick built properties in the country. It was not in fact a castle, but a fortified manor house. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Someries_Castle
