Iron Horse
My eye was caught by this half-and-half poster display. With thanks to the operative who willingly climbed down his ladder to let me take the photo, just at the point where the Rocket steam engine on the poster he was placing appeared to be connected to the horse that was being covered up.

Belle Vue House, Belle Vue Road
Built in a semi-rural location in 1793 for Michael Wainhouse, one of several similar dwellings built by cloth merchants wishing to escape the pollution of the industrial area of Leeds. 100 years later, the area had been swallowed up by back-to-back housing development and the house is shown as a Liberal Club. Now a residential home. Listed Grade II.

Former St Andrew's vicarage, Leeds
St Andrew's church was just downhill from this building, but was demolished in the late 1950s. The former parsonage, now used as offices, is grade 2 listed (list entry 1255804), being built c.1860 to the designs of the noted architect GE Street. The road in front of it is still called St Andrew's Street.
