Peel Street Board School, Morley main entrance
The former school (see Image for context) bears the inscription "1880 Board Room". The converted building is now known as Priestley Manor.

Peel Street Board School, Morley
The school was Morley's first Board School, built in 1880. It stands directly over the Leeds-Manchester railway tunnel, so I imagine generations of schoolboys (and a few girls) hearing the rumbling of passing trains and wondering about their destination. Like most such buildings it appears to have been converted to residential use, named Priestley Manor, and has been replaced with Seven Hills Primary School nearby.

A J Motors, Hull Street, Morley
The business occupies part of the original City Mill (woollen) that dates from before 1895, but this end appears to have been reduced in height. The far end and chimney are still intact. See Image for the later expansion of the textile mill across the road.
