Small yew tree, Church Street, Gildersome
I saw at least three of these around the village. Maybe they were Millennium yews - the species grows slowly, although I would have expected them to be bigger than this after twenty years. This one is no more than half a metre high, viewed from a low angle.

The New Inn
A fine pub on Church Street, Gildersome.
It was designed in 1934 by Leeds architect H Lane Fox for its present owners, Samuel Smith's and completed the following year. The art deco exterior is untouched and even has the roadside sign in the original style of lettering.
The pub is in CAMRA's Yorkshire Regional Inventory of historic pub interiors.
