Ornamental arch, Bruntcliffe Lane, Morley
One of two identical arches at either end of a small public space. They bear the quotation "You are off to great places. Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So get on your way!" attributed to "Dr Seuss" (Ted Geisel). I'm not aware that the American author had any local connection.

Bruntcliffe Crossroads, Morley
The crossing of two old turnpike roads, from Bradford to Wakefield (now the A650) and from Brighouse to Leeds (now the A643). The latter was largely superseded by first the A62 and then the M62, and is relatively lightly trafficked. On the left is one of the new breed of pub-restaurant with motel (but the pub has been there for many years), and on the right, part of Bruntcliffe Mills (on the site of the Old Angel Inn on the 1850 map).
