The Spinning Wheel pub with the Crescent Towers at Hunslet Moor dominating the skyline. These towers were built in 1967 and on a dull day like today the purple and white colour blends into the sky.

Living the lilac life ? Crescent Towers
Love it or loathe it, the colour scheme at least shows some effort to move away from the drab appearance that the tower would doubtless have had before. The lightening of the paintwork towards the top of the building serves to minimise the bulk, especially against the overcast sky on this occasion.

Crescent Towers
One of a pair of towerblocks named Crescent Towers, here it is viewed along Admiral Street. The towers were built in 1967, and painted purple and white the tower blends well into the grey of today's sky.
