Bicycle wheel sculpture, Foundry Square, Leeds
The significance of this seems to be that when the Tour de France came to Leeds in 2014, the promotional agency "Le Tour Yorkshire" was based in the old foundry building here Image

Round Foundry Media Centre, Leeds: east entrance
The current building on the site is not round, but takes its name from Matthew Murray's late 18th century 'Rotundo' building stood in this area. The present buildings date from 1863-1882, and were originally an engineering works, later a Rover garage and now a media centre. Listed grade 2 (list entry 1375470) as the "Victoria Foundry". Foundry Square, Leeds
So named because of the building with the large doors at the right of the photo. Known as 99 Water Lane, it is listed grade 2* (list entry 1255779) as being "the substantial remains of the greensand foundry built by Matthew Murray as part of probably the first integrated engineering works in the world"; it dates from 1795.
