St Benedict, Haltham-on-Bain
The medieval church is built of local greenstone, patched with brick and roofed with 19th-century slates. Ancient pews face an 18th-century three-decker pulpit, some enclosed with a Parclose screen. Above the tower door is the Royal Arms of Charles I, with fragments of the Ten Commandments, and other inscriptions and which are hard to decipher. The hexagonal font is 15th-century with a modern cover. The church is now in the care of The Churches Conservation Trust.
