A street of 19th century terraced houses. Some have been demolished and replaced with new housing built in a "sympathetic" style.

Holy Trinity church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1927624 became redundant on 19-Oct-1979 and became an Arts and Community centre on 21-Dec-1988. More recently it has become an Antique and Collectables centre. I was browsing amongst the collectables and came across this Daily Express newspaper, which just happened to have my birth date on it - 22nd June 1942. It was priced at £4 for four pages, (That's back, front and inside left and right) so I bought it. I decided I would leave off posting the photograph until today - 22nd June 2010. Have a virtual pint on me. Here's another birthday coincidence of mine - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/599079

Croft Street, Horncastle
The street is a cul-de-sac, but in the past may have run all the way through to South Street. As it is now, there is a connection on foot to Bryant Close, at the end of the street, which then leads to South Street.

I wonder if this building would have been employed as stables when first built. Horses had to go somewhere in the town when no other transport was available. This is something I don't remember considering before. Looking beyond to Queen Street shows that there is another such double-doorway.
