Angel Inn, Horncastle
Years ago, I used to walk by this pub on Southwell's Lane, to go fishing in the pond at the bottom. A path led onwards from the lane to the pond and passed a nearby a Transport Haulage yard. Bell's, the hauliers, has gone now and in its place is a new housing complex, which can just be seen. The pond is still there, albeit cosmetically altered and it is still fishable, but not open at present.

Funeral Directors, North Street
Turner & Son Funeral Directors and Turner DIY. Maybe one day they will combine the two. Below is the Horncastle Pet Centre and further down the street is J Kemp & Son Hardware Store, a store that sells traditional things like wood pegs and has that old fashioned smell of paraffin.
