Southwell's Lane, Horncastle
This view has altered out of all recognition. To the left was a haulage yard. From where the houses are, a grassy path led down to a fishing pond, which was surrounded by trees. It was a lovely peaceful spot, but it may be like that once the housing is finished, as the pond still remains. Apparently there will be, "Old folks homes near the pond", as they said. I've got my name down.

New Housing Estate, Horncastle
This was almost the end of Southwell's Lane. At left was the haulage yard. At the far left was the storage buildings. Where the buildings are to the right, the lane petered out and became a track which continued to the fishing pond and then became a footpath and encircled it. The houses to the right are completed and up for sale.
