Choice of route
There are footpaths that run through the village of Claxby to connect the various areas together. Here there are two routes to choose from.

Path through the garden
Looking at Image, the left hand path was chosen, and this is the view a little way from that point. To the left is a very large, modern detached house, and the footpath clearly runs through the gate.

One of the main roads into the village. Claxby is a fairly big village, but is sprawling in nature covering a lot of land but with relatively few buildings.

Connecting path
Through the metal gateway a footpath runs alongside Claxby woods (seen on the right) to re-join the Viking Way to the south of Normanby-le-Wold.
