Railway Station, Market Rasen
170631 waits for the off.
The station was built in 1848 by the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway. It had an overall roof and the usual facilities. The signal box, which was on the southern end of the station on the Up-line, was dismantled and re-erected in 1987 on the preserved Great Central Railway at Quorn.

The aircraft from RAF Marham, Norfolk had just conducted an approach at nearby RAF Binbrook when the accident happened
