The cream painted building used to be and may still be, a fish & chip shop. The building could be unique in having a raised path either side, which are accessed by flights of steps.

Market Place, Caistor
The narrow road, that runs from left to right behind the cars, is very significant for me. Market Place, Caistor
The shabby looking building, at centre, used to be a newsagents. It looked a dilapidated place for years. When the town was regenerated I think that building missed out because, allegedly, the person in control of the finances ran off with the money and then was killed in a car accident.
I'm reliably informed that the town has just been regenerated again.
