Bin Bag Valley, aka Spa Bottom
It was a mixture of disbelief and incomprehension that I contemplated the black bags that stretched the length of this beautiful and historic valley. A burst bag by the footpath revealed garden waste, and the horrible truth dawned that this was indeed rubbish, though someone (or people) must have gone to great lengths to put it there. Perhaps at least some of the bags were rolled down from Spa Top, above? A sign attached to a telegraph pole suggests that this is a long-standing problem: see Image
