Site of new supermarket - June 2016
Several houses on Newark Road have been scheduled for demolition to make way for a new Lidl supermarket, which is due to open in 2017.
It seems strange that there are several supermarkets already in the vicinity, and the houses to be demolished are quite new.
There were several objections to the scheme, but planning permission was still granted.
