St. Mary's Street
The former club at 11 St. Mary’s Street was constructed in 1867 and was converted into the Albion a decade later and in the 1980s the Barbican Hotel; an important early hotel it still retains original external features. The Lincolnshire Farmers Union was formed at a meeting of nine men at the Albion on 2nd September 1904. Lincoln's very first Rotary lunch was held at the Albion Hotel on Monday, 13th July 1922. The owner Anthony Matthews had to call police in 2004 when football fans started a riot and 74 were arrested. In 2006 eight people were rescued from a blaze started in a bedroom on the second floor. In 2008 it was purchased by the Co-op.

Barbican Hotel
Opened in 1867 as a gentleman's club, it became the Albion Hotel in the 1870s, the Barbican Hotel in the 1980s and is now closed. It is currently owned by The Lincolnshire Co-operative Society who have ambitious re-development plans in the area, so this grand, but un-listed building has an uncertain future.
