Metheringham railway station
The first stop now from Lincoln is this station at Metheringham. The original station was shut in 1961 and this version was re-opened circa 1980. Looking towards Lincoln there are no trains on Sundays.

Metheringham railway station, Lincolnshire
Opened as "Blankney and Metheringham" in 1882 by the Great Northern Railway and Great Eastern Railway on their joint line from Lincoln to Sleaford, this station closed in 1961 and was demolished. It was rebuilt and reopened as "Metheringham" in 1975, with minimal facilities.
View south east from the level crossing. The former signal box, just visible to the right of the line by the level crossing, still had a "Blankney" sign on it, when this image was taken.
