Greestone Centre
Designed by Lincoln architect William Watkins and opened in 1893, this striking red brick and terracotta building on Lindum Hill was originally the Christ's Hospital Foundation Girl's School and is now part of the University of Lincoln.

Greestone Stairs
Looking south / downhill on Greestone Stairs, an ancient walkway between Lindum Road and St.Mary's Cathedral, formerly known as Grecian Stairs, it's actually a misnomer as the name derives from the word 'greesen', the plural of the early English word 'gree' meaning step .... so it literally means "Steps Stairs" !
