RAF Scampton to be home to up to 2000 single adult male asylum seekers: aerial 2023 (4)
October 2023. The resistance to the 2000 single adult male immigrants continues, but meanwhile accommodation units arrive. The perimeter fence is only a few hundred metres from the village of Scampton. There seems no plan to restrict the movements of the immigrants.

Hangar at RAF Scampton, showing Nigger's grave
Nigger was the dog belonging to Guy Gibson, Squadron Leader of 617 Squadron (the Dambusters). Nigger was killed the day before the raid on the Mohne, Eder and Sorpe Dams and was buried outside Gibson's office as the raid was taking place.
