Who swung here?
About 100m up the road from the Church of St. Nicholas, but otherwise in the middle of nowhere, is this swing. Perhaps it was for the children of church-goers, since there is no spare land next to the church.

Memorial to Sir John Guevara Knight in the Church of St. Nicholas, Stenigot
Son of Francis Velles de Guevara, who came from Biscay in Spain, and who is believed to have been the UK's Spanish Ambassador. The Guevara family had a mansion near a moat nearby on the Stenigot Estate.
