Eastgate carpark attendant and the former Woodman pub
Louth motorists have enjoyed the freedom to park (and clutter up the streets) in most of the town for the last couple of years, when the traffic warden was made redundant (the Council decided it was not its responsibility to pay for traffic wardens).
However this carpark is run by a private company, and is checked regularly.

There once stood an enormous and magnificent Methodist Chapel on this site.

Greenwich Meridian Marker Eastgate
The plaque is actually at N53.367531, W0.001636, the true meridian on Eastgate is just west of the junction with Church Street.

Former Woodman Public House
Now undergoing transformation into a funeral parlour.
Many a well-known band played in the upstairs room (painted white), with the gear being dragged up the steps and through the fire escape at the back.
