Legbourne Church, and the inevitable windfarm, from Muckton Road
On a sunny November morning, a lovely view of the church - shame about the windfarm. Conisholme Windfarm (Image) was the first to be constructed. Now also in view from this position is Gayton, barely erected and not yet commissioned, but already with plans for an extension. Then there are the windfarms at Yarburgh, Mablethorpe, Newton Marsh and Theddlethorpe. Two further windfarms, at Great Carlton and Fulstow, are at Appeal, and two more consented. Owing to the misty conditions we are spared the sight of three vast offshore windfarms. Meanwhile in nearby Louth, paid for by a windpower company, someone who lives nowhere near the site is canvassing for support for the Fulstow windfarm, the Appeal for which begins next month.
