Converted crossing keeper's house
At Fotherby Halt on the disused railway.
Crossing gates are still there and track can still be seen in the tarmac (2012).

On the disused railway.
This is the condition of the northern of the two crossing gates in August 2012.

Fotherby level crossing
Rails still stand embedded in the tarmac and the remains of the crossing gate can just be seen under the vegetation. One day this may be a level crossing in use again.

Permissive Footpath
Down the disused Louth to Grimsby Railway Line.
The notice says there is no intention to dedicate this as a right of way - the more so because Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is gradually putting the track back into use.
Meanwhile it makes a picturesque and much appreciated footpath.

Fortherby and the North with the Great Northern Railway: aerial 2015
No longer: the line closed in 1980, though the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is gradually re-opening it from their base at Ludborough - see lincolnshirewoldsrailway.co.uk/
