Converted crossing keeper's house
At Fotherby Halt on the disused railway. Crossing gates are still there and track can still be seen in the tarmac (2012). See: http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/f/fotherby_halt/index.shtml

Fotherby level crossing
Rails still stand embedded in the tarmac and the remains of the crossing gate can just be seen under the vegetation. One day this may be a level crossing in use again.

Permissive Footpath
Down the disused Louth to Grimsby Railway Line. The notice says there is no intention to dedicate this as a right of way - the more so because Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is gradually putting the track back into use. Meanwhile it makes a picturesque and much appreciated footpath.

Fortherby and the North with the Great Northern Railway: aerial 2015
No longer: the line closed in 1980, though the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is gradually re-opening it from their base at Ludborough - see lincolnshirewoldsrailway.co.uk/
