Capel Mawr, Bethesda Street
This Calvinistic chapel, known to the locals as Capel Mawr (=big chapel), is officially registered as Capel Bethesda. The latest in line of chapels dating from 1777, the present building was erected in 1871. Further additions were made in 1883, 1899 and 1926. The chapel remains open.

Capel Bethesda (Capel Mawr), Amlwch
The present chapel building was built to a design by the architect Richard Owens from Liverpool in an Italianate style in 1871. In 1906 a twin-arched and round-headed porch was added to the front of the chapel. See also: Image
