Remove the bins, the TV aerials and the electrical wires and the photo could have well been taken in 1909, or even 1859 for that matter.

Capel Bethlehem, Carreglefn
The Calvinist cause at Carreglefn dates back to 1787. Members at that time worshiped at Pant-y-coli. The first chapel, still used as the sunday school room was built in 1807. The present chapel dates from 1854. It remains open. Image

The Bethlehem chapel house and Sunday School room
The Sunday School room (Ysgoldy) was the original chapel. It dates from 1807 but was replaced by a new chapel in 1854. Until 1900, and the building of a new school, the Carreglefn British School was conducted in this building. Image
