An outcrop spilitic pillow lavas of the New Harbour Group of Pre-Cambrian rocks
The New Harbour Group of Pre-Cambrian rocks, which underlie the area centred on the channel separating Anglesey and Holy Island, consist of alternating grits, flags, quartzites and shales together with thick developments of spilitic pillow lavas. It is the latter which is pictured here.
