North Wales WWII defences: Trearddur, Anglesey - pillbox (1)
- Pillbox (variant): DoB ID: S0003178 The first of several Welsh "mini-castle" pillboxes in and around the coastal town of Trearddur. They are so named on account of their roof castellations of local stone designed to blend into the local landscape. All tend to be circular, this one is located at the top of Snowdon View Road. Image

North Wales WWII defences: Trearddur, Anglesey - pillbox (1)
- Pillbox (variant): DoB ID: S0007056 Perched on a rock base in a private garden, and now covered with ivy, this circular pillbox was camouflaged to blend in with the rocky landscape - rocks were added to the roof to break up the outline. With six embrasures and a wall screening the entrance, it's one of a group of circular pillboxes around Holyhead and its environs known as "Welsh mini-castles". Image
