Our Lady Queen of Martyrs RC church
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs RC church, like others on Anglesey, are under the care of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate http://www.omianglesey.org.uk/ which is part of the Diocese of Wrexham. The foundation stone was laid by Bishop Mostyn on September 22nd 1909 and the church opened in 1910. The architect who designed the church was Arthur Lowther of Brodwick, Lowther & Walker, a firm based in Hull that had built several other Catholic Churches such as St.Peter's South Bank Image in Middlesbrough and the Church of Our Lady and St.Peter Image in Bridlington.
