The chimney was for a some hot baths that stood on the far row of houses in the mid 19th century. The far terrace, 1 - 4 Alma Street, was built in the 1850s (see for example http://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=84754 for the listing particulars of the leftmost house, no 4) and the nearer one, Bulkeley Terrace, was built in the late 1850s (see for example http://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=84675 for the listing particulars of the far house, no 1).

Grade II* listed Liverpool Arms Hotel, Beaumaris
Viewed across the A545 Castle Street. Only the staircase survives from the original building here, erected c1700. The construction date of the building seen here is uncertain, though a 3-storey structure is shown on a plan of 1829. The hotel was named in an era when there was much sea trade between Liverpool and Beaumaris. Grade II* listed in 1950. The smiley face inside the first O of LIVERPOOL was probably drawn by someone from the window above the letter. The O of HOTEL is so far untouched, though also near a window...
