Redundant Buildings - Chapel and Police Station
Both these buildings have undergone a change of use, reflecting the major social changes in our rural villages. With the change in policing strategy, the police station was declared redundant, and sold as a private home. The chapel, which belonged to the Anibynnwyr (Congregationalists), a minor player in a county dominated by Calvinistic Methodism, closed its doors when the congregation became too small to pay for its upkeep. The building has now been converted into a tourist information office and a one-morning-a-week police post.
