The old Gorphwysfa Hotel at Pen-y-Pass
The Gorphwysfa Hotel at Pen-y-Pass occupies a significant place in the history of British mountaineering and particularly rock climbing, being one of the favoured haunts of Victorian and later climbers. It's now the Pen-y-Pass Youth Hostel and the accommodation has spread into other buildings to the right of the main one shown in the image.
