Benchmark at Capel Caersalem, Caernarfon
This benchmark is located on the NW side of Stryd Garnon (Garnons Street) on a brick gatepost at Capel Caersalem. The mark is not shown in the current Ordnance Survey database but is shown on an 1888 map of the area, unfortunately the height given on that map is illegible. The mark is however shown on the 1888 Caernarfon town plan at a height of 65.7ft above the Liverpool datum.
