Llyfrfa'r Methodistiaid Calfinaidd
The Calvinistic Methodist (aka Presbyterian Church of Wales), Bookroom at the junction of Lon Warfield and St David's Road. The building also houses Gwasg y Bwthyn, publishers and printers of Welsh language books and magazines owned by the church. The output of the press today is much more varied than in the past. Gone are the Welsh version of 'Eric or Little by Little' and similar moralistic tales aimed at promoting total abstinence. Its recent offerings have included Janice Jones' 'Pin-Yp', a novel about 12 Merched y Wawr (a breakaway from the WI) women who pose semi-nude for a calendar and Hari Pari's 'Miss Pringle a'r Tatw' (Miss Pringle and the Tattoo). Calvinism certainly swings these days.
