The Bethel 1939-1945 War Memorial
This is sited in the yard of Ysgol Bethel, the village primary school.

The WWII Memorial at Ysgol Bethel
The names of nine local lads lost in WWII are listed on the stone. The full inscription translates as
"Boys of the district who were lost in the War of 1939-45" (The list of 9 names then follows) "In the morning of their lives, their blood the lads gave. To costly purchase your freedom and mine."

Rough pasture south of Bethel village
This waterlogged land is fit only as grazing for hardy sheep. An old quarryman's path leading to the Bethel Halt on the Padarn Railway crosses this land.
