Tafarn Pennionyn
A quaintly named tavern on the village square of this former slate quarrying community. The name means 'Onionhead Tavern' and it originated it is said - and this is supported by the inn-sign - from the nick-name of one of the previous tenants, a folically-challenged gentleman.
