Cegin Fochyn and Cutiau Moch at Plas ym Mhenllech
A cegin fochyn (pig's kitchen) was where the swill was boiled. The enclosure to the right of the chimneyed kitchen were the pig sties. Plas ym Mhenllech is a house with much history. The home during the centuries of gentlemen farmers the family produced poets and preachers and in the 16th century one of the sons was Richard Hughes soldier and long time equerry to Elizabeth I. In 1861 the owner Robert Owen farmed 400 acres and employed 12 men.
