Pwllheli - Bangor train entering Afon Wen station
View westward, towards Pwllheli: ex-Cambrian Railway Machynlleth - Pwllheli line, junction of ex-LNW line from Bangor via Caernarfon. The train, which has come from Pwllheli behind BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 No. 78002 (built 12/52, withdrawn 6/66), will reverse here to proceed to Bangor. The station closed on 7/12/64, along with the line to Caernarfon.
